WHEELING, W. Va. – Owners and staff members of Country Roads Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation were joined with Wheeling Chamber of Commerce and city of Wheeling officials for the ceremonial Ribbon Cutting at the clinic’s newest location.
The Ribbon Cutting took place Thursday, June 27 at 2080 National Road in Elm Grove, conveniently located just off Interstates 70 and 470. Undo’s Catering provided food for the event.
“Country Roads is thrilled to be able to expand our physical therapy and rehabilitation services and hands-on approach to patients throughout Ohio and Marshall counties,” co-owners Derek Falkenstein and Michael Barkley said.
Representatives from the Wheeling Chamber of Commerce joined Falkenstein, Barkley, clinic director Kevin Perris, and others for the ceremony that began at 4 PM. After brief remarks, attendees were able to tour the facility and learn more about the progressive treatments offered.
“We are very happy to welcome Country Roads Physical Therapy to our community,” said Terry Sterling, president of the Chamber of Commerce. “Wheeling is experiencing a surge, so it is a very exciting time to be working with area businesses.”
Since first opening its doors at the West Fairmont location in 2006, Country Roads has experienced tremendous success and growth with this latest addition in Wheeling. The other three locations include a pair of clinics in Fairmont and clinic in Buckhannon.
Kevin Perris, DPT is the director and primary therapist at the Elm Grove location. He is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University’s physical therapy program, and has lived in Wheeling for ten years.
“I appreciate the commitment Derek, Mike and all of their team members have to individualized treatment,” Perris said. “We’re eager to bring the same level of care provided in Fairmont and Buckhannon to people in and around Wheeling. At Country Roads, you receive personal attention and progressive treatment directly from a certified therapist. You are not left alone and expected to perform exercises that you could do on your own at home.”
Perris is certified in Dry Needling and ASTYM. He is also certified in mechanical diagnosis and therapy, MDT, or the McKenzie Method.
Country Roads’ location on National Road will initially be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with plans to add evening hours in the near future. All major insurances are accepted.
